Saul's Light Advocacy Successfully Passes Stillbirth Tax Credit

Saul's Light, one of Express Yourself NOLA's community partners, has worked hard advocating for HB 146, a legislative bill establishing an income tax credit following the delivery of a stillborn child. The bill was passed by both the Louisiana House and Senate and was signed into law by Governor John Bel Edwards on June 29th, 2021 with an effective starting date of January 1st, 2022.
